Main Components Of Epoxy Resins
Leave a message
1. Epoxy-Based Resins:
• Bisphenol A Epoxy Resin: The most common type, made by reacting bisphenol A with epichlorohydrin, exhibits excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance.
• Bisphenol F Epoxy Resin: Similar to bisphenol A, but with a slightly different molecular structure, exhibits lower viscosity and improved flow.
• Phenolic Epoxy Resin: Made by reacting phenolic resin with epichlorohydrin, exhibits higher heat and chemical resistance.
• Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Resin: Offers excellent weather and UV resistance, suitable for outdoor applications.
2. Hardeners:
• Amine hardeners, such as ethylenediamine and diethylenetriamine, have fast reaction rates and are suitable for room-temperature curing.
Anhydride hardeners, such as phthalic anhydride and maleic anhydride, are suitable for high-temperature curing, offering low heat release and a long pot life.
• Imidazole hardeners: Suitable for electronic packaging and high-temperature applications, with good heat resistance and electrical properties.
• Metal salt hardeners, such as zinc salts and aluminum salts, are suitable for specific industrial applications.
