Zhejiang Heyi Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in March 2022, broke ground in June 2023 and entered production in June 2024. Heyi Chemical's core team originated from China's first research and development team dedicated to anhydride curing agents, established in 1997.The company operates from an approximately 64,000 m² facility in the Modern Industrial Park of Xianju County, Zhejiang Province, and integrates research and development, production and sales as a new-materials enterprise.
The product programme is centred on anhydride curing agents for epoxy resin systems. The flagship product, methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA), is synthesised from separated C5 feedstock through a proprietary process and is supplied in six standard grades (HMT-9601 to HMT-9608), with 3-position, 4-position and custom isomer proportions available on request. The range extends across MHHPA, 4-MHHPA, THPA, HHPA, MNA and bisphenol-A liquid epoxy resin.
Manufacturing strength is built into the site itself. The single MTHPA workshop is designed for 80,000 tonnes per year - among the largest single-unit capacities in China - and every product runs on its own dedicated production line, keeping process parameters stable and batch-to-batch quality consistent. All workshops share one unified automation and safety architecture: a DCS Distributed Control System, an SIS Safety Instrumented System and a FAS Fire Alarm & Fire-Fighting Linkage System. Centralised management, distributed control, multi-level alarms and layered protection together deliver precise, efficient and safe operations around the clock.
These materials serve high-end application fields including wind power, photovoltaics, rail transit, LED encapsulation and new energy vehicles, as well as dry-type transformers, instrument transformers, high-voltage capacitors, FRP pipe, sports equipment, insulating varnish and integrated-circuit impregnation. Products are exported to Europe, America, Southeast Asia and other regions.
